Hi, I’m Brady Helkenn, Jedi Master and founder of Deluxe Sabers. Deluxe Sabers was born out of a love for Star Wars. I’ll proudly admit that I was a Star Wars nerd growing up, and I always wanted to actually fight with my sabers. And I was surprised that there were not many good-quality, combat-ready sabers available. Many of them were just created for show!
While that was the origin of starting this company, I’ve realized it has taken on a deeper meaning for me. In addition to Deluxe Sabers, I am the founder and owner of other businesses:

A managed services IT company where I lean into my Jedi Master identity, protecting my clients from cyber criminals through proactive cybersecurity best practices. My mission and vision is to protect the most vulnerable population out there from cybercrime: the small business owner. Over 60% of smaller businesses fail completely after a cyber incident, and I aim to break that cycle through common-sense managed services curated towards smaller and more decentralized, cloud-based smaller businesses. I’ve also written an IT book!

A coaching business where I teach leaders, staff, and individuals to build and strengthen various soft skills through a live-run Client Whisperer Masterclass over 6 immersive weeks. My mission and vision is to break the cycle of impersonal and transactional “HR video” style professional development that most communications-focused training proscribes, instead diving deeply into core principles and leading group discussions and sharing stories to help plant the seeds of true personal and professional growth. Such a program deserves proper recognition when students graduate from the masterclass, and a Deluxe Saber has made for a fantastic and unique way to mark the occasion!
What I’ve come to realize is that the lightsaber is one of the most enduring symbols of modern mythology. While it began in fiction, what it represents extends far beyond it: responsibility, restraint, protection, earned authority, and even compassion and empathy.
A saber is not given lightly. It is earned. It signifies readiness, accountability, and the responsibility to protect something greater than oneself. That philosophy mirrors real-world leadership, whether you’re safeguarding clients, building trust under pressure, or fostering strong internal cultures.
Deluxe Sabers is not about fandom, costumes, or collectibles (though we get plenty of that as well). It is about what the symbol of a lightsaber can stand for in an organization or for a leader - something with deep, enduring meaning that goes beyond your typical recognition gift.
